Classmates who attended Gigi Brady Barnhill's talk at the Boston Athenaeum on February 6th gathered for a festive lunch in the venerable Parker House (an institution only a half-century younger than the Athenaeum).

Gigi's subject was  American luminist painter and printmaker Fitz Henry Lane, the subject of her current exhibition, Drawn from Nature & On Stone: The Lithographs of Fitz Henry Lane, at the Cape Ann Museum.

Gigi said it was nice to see so much purple in the audience. She also said, "Once the lecture was over, I had a great time." When the webmistress asked if was OK to quote her, she replied, "Sure!  We all grew up at Wellesley with so much anxiety, no problem with acknowledging its existence today!"
